Liebe das Leben

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing this card over at the Kulricke Designteam Blog which I made during one of those warm and sunny days. Seems like the nice weather also made it onto my card, at least colorwise.

Do you know that moment - you see a new product, fight with yourself weather to buy it or not, watch tons of videos about it and finally get it. Then it recieves at your home - and no matter what you try, every piece you use it on looks horrible. That's what happened to me with those Brushos - and this is the first card on which I like the effect and where it looks how I wanted it to, and that didn't end up in the trash. And honestly, my first tries were horrible! My husband said, give a 3 year old some watercolors and he can do it better....

On my card I used the biggest of the Nesting Hearts by Kulricke as a stencil for the yellow heart - it's "colored in" with Brushos. The turquoise heart is cut out using the same set and then glued to the bigger one.
Then I heat embossed the heart using clear embossing powder and added the script stamp around it which also got a coat of clear embossing powder. Then I used the turquoise Brusho for the background and added a few more yellow speckles to the left of the heart.

Originally I had planned to try another new technique on this card - cutting the "image" out of the finished background, put some white layers in between and then adding the one cut from the background on top again. But I was so happy with how the background turned out that I just couldn't cut into it. And so I cut the great saying (love life) several times from white cardstock, glued those on top of each other and then glueing those on top of my card. I added a thick layer of Stickles to them as well. I think the saying and the background together have a great and positive touch and so I really love this card, even if I usually do a totally different style.
